About Me

Howdy! I'm a Chicago-based thirty-something writer with a penchant for mochas, dystopian fiction creation, and a good sit-down viewing of anything sci-fi.

When not huddled over the warm light of my ruby red Gateway laptop, I can generally be found out and about around the windy city. I love exploring, whether I'm finding new sushi or Thai restaurants, or visiting famous favorites like the Shedd Aquarium. I'm also fond of traveling & sight seeing in other cities - particularly those I haven't been to yet. Seeing the architecture and learning the history of different & new places is a passion - something I almost majored in when I was in college.

I'm also one of three Municipal Liaisons (event coordinators) for the Chicago chapter of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo for short). Every November I assist in herding verbose cats into writing meet-ups with promises of creative energy, camaraderie, and caffeine. (It's a good thing.) Check out our website (ChiWriMo) if you want to know more about participating.
